& it’s not just because OpenAI is introducing ads, or because of leadership headlines, or because of what OpenAI and its leaders represent.
It’s because of how people are actually using these tools over time.
I’m currently in the process of trying to migrate three years of history on ChatGPT over to Gemini. Trust me, it’s a process. Once I’ve figured it out and finalized it, I’ll share what I learned here if you’re interested, too.
*I asked ChatGPT how it felt about this, and it claims it’s not feeling defensive or threatened. It also supports my hot take and doesn’t think I’ve overstated the fact. We shall wait and see if that changes.
